Sorry I haven't posted much of anything lately. We have been having some computer trouble.
But, my family went to my grandparents house on the lake for Memorial Day weekend. We had a great time, tubing, boating, swimming, and a bunch of us ran a 5k or mile run as well. It was an awesome time to hang out and I got to meet my new cousin Carson too. I'll post some pictures when our lap top is working again.

Cars! A look behind the scenes...
In our house, toy cars are out all the time. Brandon and David love to race cars, make tracks and have champion ships to find the fastest car. A couple of years ago we put the cars into "families". It was one way that I could play cars with Brandon and David and really enjoy it. But let me explain what car "families" are. First of all, all the cars are gathered together in a pile. Then they are organized into groups, according to how they looked and how fast they are. Then they are assigned a last and first name. For example, a green race car would be put in the "Greenie family" and might be named Jack Greenie. It is strange, i know, but it's fun! Today we re-organized the cars and put them into new families.

Yard Sales Rock! Getting Ready for Our Little Ones
My mom and I went to yard sales this past Saturday and got some really adorable things. For our little girl, (almost two weeks old) we found some adorable clothes. I love to look her teeny bathing suit and onesies and shoes!
We also found a baby rocker, which we almost did not buy, because it was looked dirty etc. But we did and after a good washing, scrubbing and change of batteries, it was as good as new!
We got lots of nice clothes for our 2 1/2 year old little boy, too. We found some really cute pajamas:
We also got some bath toys, finger paint and other things.
I love buy things for my new little brother and sister, it is one of my favorite things to do, and I love to think about them and look forward to their arrival. But still, getting these things makes my heart ache when I look at all the little clothes we got for Benjamin, and remember how much I loved buying his little things. We had some things for Chance, too, but we didn't know what size clothes she wore, so we don't have as many things that we got for her. Benjamin's closet:

Prayers Answered!! We have a new brother and sister!
Thank you all for praying for us! We received news about a two and a half year-old boy late Sunday night (May 6) , and Monday evening saw pictures of him! We also were referred a little girl who is only 6 days old!!!! My mom and dad talked and prayed about it a lot, (so did Brandon, David and I) and yesterday morning we told the lady who was helping us that we were accepting both! It will be hard with a newborn and a toddler, but together as a family we will be able to get through the first hard months, and then after everything has settled down, we will really enjoy being a family of seven.
We still need your prayers, though. Please, please, please pray that the little baby girl doesn't get malaria, and that if she does she will be strong enough to fight it off. Many little babies die in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Pray that our little girl will be strong.

In His Hands
We are still waiting and waiting and waiting for a referral, and the waiting. is. hard. It isn't that hard not hearing anything for Brandon and David I think, but that is totally normal. For me, the waiting is a whole other story, (my Mom will tell you if you don't believe me!) I think and pray about it all the time. We wait, and wait and wait, and it is hard! But then I remind myself that we will get a referral at God's perfect time and that he has this in His hands. He was with us when we were referred Chance and Benjamin, he was with us when started setting up rooms and buying clothes for them. He was with us when we lost Chance and Benjamin, and He is with us now.
And when we do have our precious child(ren) home, they are home forever and ever!!
will you please pray for our family, it means so much to know that people are praying for us and our kids.
