Do Life Big (Video)

Going to the beach every year with my cousins, aunts, uncles and family is something we all look forward to more than Christmas!

This year was probably the best year ever, and I loved every minute of it.

It's been a tradition for the past 5ish years that we make a video with all the cousins to play at the end of the week.

This year was no exception!

It was a little different from other years,

but it turned out so well!

It was made up of 8 mini videos all piled together into one.

Do Life Big is one of my two favorites :)

Kadi's First Ice Cream Cone!

Out of all the videos we have of Kadi, I think this one is one of the funniest!

Some of our cousins came to visit us for a few days,

and they gave him an ice cream cone - his first!

2 weeks!

I can't believe that it was an entire week since I wrote about Kaden and Bethany being home a week!

 

Really, it feels like they have been home always.

We are kinda wondering if we are in the "honeymoon stage".

But it is hard for me to imagine Kadi acting out.  He is such a good tempered, sweet little guy.

And he is such an actor and performer!

And then Bethany.

We all love her so much! 

It is so sweet to see Kaden give her a kiss. 

He is the only one in our family who has been with her since she came to the orphanage from the hospital after her birth.

These two pictures (below) are from the orphange, about 2-3 months ago.

 

Bethany is a cutie!

 

 

Kaden enjoys playing the camera... a little scary sometimes, but still a good thing.

But anyway, tonight while my mom feeding Bethany, we put the timer on the camera and tried to get a good picture.  We did... sorta

 

 



Loving This

I love so many things about having Bethany and Kaden home.

I love the baby that Bethany is,

I love how happy she stays.

I love to make her smile.

 

 And her hair! It is so long and so soft!  (More about this later:))

 

And Kaden...

I love the enthusiasm, and the simple joys!

Such as taking a bath,

 

like having 5 pairs of shoes,

like eating snacks, and three big meals,

 

and playing with fun toys,

 

and having a Momma and a Papa,

 

and brothers and sisters to sing with in the bath tub...

A video once again

A group came to our youth group yesterday (tvonelife) and did some skits and talked and things like that.   We got to see a video that they made from one of their missions trips that i liked.

No Words

There are no words to describe this video.  People in America take for granted soooooo many things.  But some children want just one thing:  someone to love them.  Someone to tell them that matter.  Someone to care about them.

Good News, Not So Good News and a Neat Video...

The good:

            We finished our homestudy today!

The bad:

We got some sort of bad news from our adoption lady.  There is a problem with some people in the part of the country that we are trying to adopt from.  But God is bigger than an annoying problem.  He can choose to bless us with these beautiful kids, or give us another.  Although it would be really hard to give us the faces that i thought were my sister and brothers, we are trusting God to work everything out in His perfect way.

One of my favorite worship songs is Our God, by Chris Tomlin.  My favorite verses are,

And if our God is for us, then who could ever stop us?  And if our God is with us, than what could stand against?  

W.O.W.  It reminds me so much that anything God wants us to do will get done.  If God want us to bring Chance and Benjamin home quicker than we ever could have hoped for, He will do it.

God gave us a love (for the orphans), before we even asked
He gave us a country, one other than what we had originally thought
He gave us an agency, better than what we could have hoped
He gave us faces, before we expected 
He gave us Himself, more than what we deserve 

A life changer video, and a day in our lives

I found this video on All God's Children's website.  I was very touched by it.  I hope you are too.  Please pray for all the orphans who are/will be adopted, but even more, pray for those who wont.

Also...

• On Sunday my cousins brought their kids over to play with us.  Their kids names are Rylan and Allie, and they will be staying with us for a few days while their parents go to Colorado for a wedding.  They were a lot of fun, and they are really sweet kids.  

• A cutie pie named Liam came over to play. (be babysat)  He is such a sweetheart!  He wakes up laughing and is a really easy baby.  What is really neat is that he is the same age as our Benjamin.  Wouldn't that be cool if they became friends!?
