My Sister

When I was going through  my pictures and picking a few out to post
I saw that I have 3,007 photos on my memory card!
Wow!
The first picture was taken December 16, and was of Bethany on the first morning she went to church.
She looks like such a little baby there...
Now she is almost 11 months old.  She is crawling, babbling, and she has finally stopped gagging on anything that is not perfectly mashed.
We can see a lot of her personality, and she is very spirited!

It is getting so close to the time last year when we saw her picture for the very time.
The second I heard that the orphanage had a baby girl I knew.
I just knew that she was ours.
We didn't know very much about her then.
The email was very short.
The picture were really very bad...
But that didn't matter.  We knew that the little baby who was millions of miles away was our baby.
Our baby who would one day be in our home.
Who would be our sister/daughter.
And that was enough.

We love her so much!

My Brittany

Things like this just make me smile.
Kaden has transitioned from calling our Mom and Dad
"Momma" and "Papa" to "Mommy and Daddy".
Sometimes he'll say to them, "You my Daddy."  or "You my Mommy."
"Yes!"  we tell him.  They are your Mommy and Daddy.  Always.
Then yesterday in the car he pointed to me.
"You my Brittany."  He told  me.
"Ommm, yes,"  I said. "I am your sister."
He nodded satisfied.  "You my Brittany."  He said again, and this time I didn't correct him,
I liked the sound of that.
I am his Brittany.

Kaden's 4th Birthday

Reminder:  My blog is going private soon.  Please become a follower so I can add you to the allowed readers list.  Thanks!

Hi everybody!
I hope you all are having a great week.
We have had some excitement in the Gibarte house recently.
Excitement which involves,
streamers
candles
balloons
presents...
any guesses?
Yes, we had a birthday!  And it wasn't just anybodies birthday, it was Kaden's!
We had a pretty fun day...
we decorated the night before to surprise him when he came down.

Kaden doesn't like cake,
so we decided to make him a special egg and sausage funny face for breakfast.
He liked it.
Yeah, so maybe it's not the typical birthday treat.
That's okay.

He got some really neat presents, one of which was a drinking straw that looked like glasses.
I love this boy!
And we had a pinata, which everyone loved.

It was a great day, and we are blessed to have this wonderful little boy as part of our family.
We love you,
Kaden Louis Gilbarte!

*Important Update**

First of all I'd like to thank all my followers and
everyone who has encouraged me with sweet comments.  You guys are great and you make
 me feel so special!

But for certain reasons my family and I have come to the decision that it would be best to make my blog private for a while.
There is a possibility that I could come back to the public blogging world in the future,
and I will certainly continue to follow all of your blogs, but at this point the best thing to do is for me to go private for while.

But I don't want to loose all of you!
If you are a follower on the sidebar of my blog then I'll put you on the allowed readers list.  If you have been reading my blog for a while but are not an official "follower" then please become one and I will add you to the allow list!  If you don't have a google account then please leave a comment below and I'll try to work something out.

And thank you!
I have loved my time as a public blogger and have made some great friends.
Hopefully I'll return one day to the public blogging world and make some more,
but for now I'm going private.

In 1 to 2 weeks from today, my blog will not be able to be found by search engines, so please
become a follower if you are not one already!
