Snow Day!

Hurray!
It finally snowed in our part of North Carolina!
The snow started last night, around eight (according to Brandon)
and snowed until this morning.
It snowed slightly a while ago,
but not enough to stay, and play in.

We had a great time playing in the snow.
My Dad had a great idea to pull a knee board behind the car and ride around the neighborhood.
It was a lot of fun!

FUN! You have more snow than us and I'm in Montana!

Thanks for your comment on my blog Brittany. When I was originally asked to blog about my journey through becoming healthy honestly you were, believe it or not, the first person I thought of. I take this topic on with a great understanding of the responsibility I have to young ladies like yourself. Healthy never means not eating or not eating enough to properly fuel your body. I had been abusing my body by not caring how much I weighed and how that extra weight affected my health. My good self esteem was kind of a blinder to me going the opposite way as you and becoming very unhealthy through weight gain. So getting healthy for me started at weight loss and now that I have done that in a very healthy, Doctor monitored way, I am working on getting stronger. But never in the past, or in the future will I ever condone behavior resulting in skipping meals or working out to the point of passing out or anything like that. You Brittany are a beautiful young lady. I know what it was like for me growing up with all the pressures of the world to be a certain way, to look a certain way. At times honestly it was hell on earth. I can only begin to imagine what it is like for young people now a days. Just remember God created you in His image. That is in true righteousness and holiness. He did not make any mistakes when He made you.
I was wondering...I plan on doing a post about talking with our kids about health and body image. Do you have any suggestions or helps you could give me? I would love to hear from you on this subject. My email is on the right sidebar of my blog if you rather post your comments there than in the comment section. Either way, I appreciate your input.

Hugs,

Evan
P.S Enjoy the snow!

Love seeing your snow pictures! One of my fondest memories EVER is of you one night when Pop and I were in G'ville and snow was predicted for overnight. After laying out your snow gear for the morning, off to bed you went...and when we checked on you later, there you were - sound asleep wearing your snow hat...your mittens..your snowsuit..and your boots!!! You just couldn't wait, so on went all you would need for morning....and a layer of sweat from being so warm..I will never see snow w/o thinking of you! Looks like you all had a great day, including your 4th brother John!!!!!!Wish we could have been there. Love you sooo much - and thanks for the memories..Gandy
