We Wait In Hope For the Lord

UPDATE:
Bethany and Kaden are now home!  To read more of our story go here.

The eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him,

on those whose hope is in his unfailing love,

to deliver them from evil

to keep them alive in famine.

We wait in hope for the Lord; He is our help and shield.

In Him our hearts rejoyce, for we trust in His holy name.

May your unfailing love rest upone us, O Lord

even as we put our hope in You.
(Pslam 33:18-22)

I was looking up some Bible verses for school one day and noticed something I had highlighted earlier and forgotten about.
As I read it the truth in those verses became so vivid and real.  They spoke to me, reminding me of things the Lord has and is teaching me.
"We wait in hope for the Lord".  Wait.  That is one thing I have trouble with.  I want things to happen now.  I want my siblings to come home now.  I want that science lesson to be over now.  But what about God's timing?  His timing is perfect.
He knows why, he knows how, he knows when.
We are in a place in our adoption journey where things are taking a little bit longer than hoped, not too long, but still long enough to make me wish things were happening quicker.
Maybe the God wants to teach me about his timing during this part.
I'm learning it.

That's beautiful, Brittany. :) Just hang in there, and remember that God wants to bring home your adoptive sibling home at just the right time :)

You have a great deal of insight for someone as young as you are - I predict a very bright future for someone who has your way of looking at things which are beyond your control! LOVE YOU
